Hey, everybody!
Decided to explore a bit the topic of creating hair for games, as often people approach me with this question and I've never done it until now :)
This weekend I took Masha Puchkova's hair creation course, which I bought a couple years ago. I really liked the way Masha explains and shows, everything is detailed and simple.

I think I was able to understand the basic principles of the work and what it takes to make the hair as realistic as possible. A little more practice, create another 3-4 hairstyles and I think I will get a good working result.
I used Ornatrix in Maya to create the bake hair (in the video tutorials I used xGen, but the working principle is identical). For card placement I used the incredibly handy GS CurveTools tool. The rendering was done in UE5.
The total number of triangles turned out to be about 27k, but I didn't really keep track of it, as it was not a working project, but a training project.
